I’ll add a few points of clarification about Sasuke’s canon point here since Naruto is forever long and Sasuke changes pretty dramatically throughout the series.

At the canon point I’ve taken him from, Sasuke has learned the truth about the Leaf’s involvement in the Uchiha clan massacre, and has decided that he will destroy the village for revenge. However, he eventually has a run in with his brother’s reanimated corpse and the two of them have a brief heart to heart conversation following their fight with Kabuto.

This conversation causes Sasuke to shift gears very subtly and re-evaluate what his goals are. While he was perfectly aware that his brother committed the massacre with the express purpose of saving Konohafrom a bloody civil war, Sasuke just didn’t care what his brother wanted. This was in large part due to the fact that his last encounter with Itachi had involved a fight to the death in which Itachi died lying to his face. Feeling disrespected and dismissed, Sasuke returns that in kind with his determination to murder every man, woman and child in the Leaf.

After having an honest conversation with Itachi , Sasuke is able to find a modicum of catharsis in having finally been treated with respect and like an equal who can be trusted to make decisions rather than being forced down the paths that itachi had laid out. Because of this trust and respect, Sasuke in turn, is no longer quite as able to ignore Itachi’s will and ends up trying to find a compromise between his own hatred of the village and his brother’s sacrifices. Because I took him from Ch 590 before he’s able to speak to the four previous Hokage, he has not yet figured out his answer.

Personality:

Highly motivated / Goal oriented → Ever since the day his brother murdered the entirety of his clan, Sasuke has been nothing but relentless in his pursuit of vengeance, casting aside his friends and even his home in the pursuit of power. He's relentless in chasing after his desires to the point that he's even willing to give up control over his body if it means achieving his goals.

Emotional intensity → Although Sasuke is outwardly cool and usually fairly deadpan in his delivery, he is someone who experiences emotions with staggering intensity -- particularly those of wrath and hatred. He's someone who believes that hatred and spite will only make him stronger ... which is reinforced by the fact that he gets literal power ups the more haterade he chugs due to the nature of the Uchiha clan's abilities. That said, the same is also true of the reverse. When Sasuke cares about something or someone, he cares with everything he has. These traits combined can make Sasuke quite tunnel visioned and obsessive.

Independent / Untrusting → Sasuke is someone who believes he has to carry his burdens alone, and due to the way he was manipulated and lied to for most of his life, does not trust others around him. He views many of his relationships as purely transactional rather than being based on genuine care. While he does also believe there is some merit to cooperating to achieve a common goal (even with enemies), he has a preference for handling everything on his own.

Utilitarian → Sasuke tends to view the world around him through a lens of utility. People are either useful to him or not. Those he believes could help further his goals, he keeps close while he dismisses the rest. That said, if he determines that someone is posing a genuine threat to his goals, he has next to no compunctions about taking them out rather than simply ignoring them. His sense of morality is warped to say the least, and morality itself is always a secondary consideration. He doesn't care if his actions are right or wrong, so long as they propel him forward.

Blunt → In large part because he doesn’t give a damn what other people think of him, Sasuke tends to be fairly callous in his dealings with other people. While he doesn’t often choose to be cruel for the sake of cruelty, he just doesn’t bother with tactfulness when considering his delivery..

Existentially confused →When all of Sasuke’s external facades are stripped away, at the core he’s someone who is genuinely struggling to understand his place in the world and what he is meant to do. He spends his whole life defining himself around who he isn’t, so when the time comes to define who he is, he genuinely struggles to forge a path that is his own. In many ways, he’s a giant walking-talking contradiction who claims to want to raze the past to the ground, while being utterly unable to let it go. He wants to be understood, but acts out in such outrageous ways that it drives people away from him. And above all else, he wants to find catharsis, but refuses to accept the help of the people who want to help him find it.

Weaknesses/Temptations:

Does leaving Sasuke to his own devices count as being inherently corrupting….

Joking aside, at the end of the manga, Sasuke is very much interested in redemption and seeks to repent for his many crimes throughout the series.That said, I’m taking Sasuke from a canon point where he has absolutely no interest in the concept of redemption or forgiveness. What he lives for is the destruction of those who have destroyed his clan in the name of the “greater good.” To that end, he’s willing to cut off any ties and stab pretty much anyone in the back if it means coming closer to achieving the means to uproot a world where evils are committed in the name of peace.

While his conversation with Itachi’s Edo Tensei has certainly made him re-evaluate what is and isn’t worth saving, there’s very little question that Sasuke’s goals tend to be both destructive as well as self destructive because of his extremist mentality and desire to move forwards at all costs. So while he certainly won't do bad things for the sake of doing bad things, if he sees any incentive in it that is self serving, he's pretty likely to go for it. In Penance, I largely see this manifesting when he's presented with offers to be sent back to his own world, power gains. Additionally, because he's just not inherently interested in playing "good guy," if there are situations where he's forced to choose between his own life/well being vs that of others, he's going to prioritize himself.

Powers/Abilities:
As a heads up Sasuke has a plethora of bullshit shounen manga powers because Naruto be like that and I am so sorry lmfao. Here’s a link to a wiki for a general overview of his abilities.

At Sasuke’s current canon point he has the following abilities:

- Enhanced speed and strength due to his use of chakra
- The ability to produce clones that dissipate when struck
- The ability to change his appearance
- Expert at hand-to-hand combat and fighting with a sword.
- Fire and lightning manipulation
- Resistance to some poisons thanks to being experimented on by Orochimaru. I’m going to nerf this because hell poison is hell poison.
- Summoning jutsu → He can summon temporarily summon a snake and a hawk. Both of these summons are large enough for him to ride on. For the sake of this game, I’m gonna say he can’t summon either of them.
- Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan in both eyes. These grant him the following abilities:

1. Genjutsu Sharingan → I’m going to say that his genjutsu won’t work on the demons/NPCs and I will have a permissions post set up for people to opt in/opt out of mind hax with this ability.

2. Amaterasu → Black flames that can burn everything and can’t be put out.

3. Enton Kagatsuchi → Blaze Release. Gives him more control over Amaterasu so that he can mold it like a firebender and also put it out.

4, Susanoo → Canonically limited by the fact that it takes immense amounts of chakra to use and causes the user intense physical pain. In Penance, I’m nerfing this so that it takes a significant amount of his energy to use this for more than a few minutes.

5. The general ability to perceive the flow of chakra, accurately track movements that are usually too quick for the human eye as well as the ability to replicate any physical movements he observes provided he has the ability to do so. (He can’t copy a bird flying for example, but he could perfectly duplicate some fancy sleight of hand card tricks).

Abilities he gains later on in canon include a Rinnegan eye + Six Paths powers which I’m putting here because I will probably end up canon updating him at some point down the line.

Rinnegan in his left eye, Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan in his right eye. His Rinnegan grants Sasuke the following abilities:

1. Six Paths Technique → I’m linking this for completion’s sake, but as you can see what he can do with this is patently ridiculous. I’m going to nerf everything so that he can’t use most of the paths. He will be able to use the Deva Path only but at extreme cost to himself in terms of energy and chakra and on a smaller scale.

2. Space-Time Ninjutsu → In effect, the ability to open up portals to different dimensions, the ability to teleport short distances, the ability to switch places with a nearby object or person. This will also be getting hella nerfed, and Sasuke will only be able to teleport short distances in a pinch and won't be able to spam it. Additionally, he will be able to use his ability to switch places with objects/people extremely sparingly and will not be able to switch places with people without player consent.

TL;DR Where possible, I’m going to try and keep the nature of his abilities intact, but limit them by either severely reducing their scope and/or adjusting the amount of chakra it takes Sasuke to use his more OP techniques. Locations / NPCs that can’t be destroyed won’t be affected, and any power that may get used on another character in game will never be used without player permission. Kishimoto may have gone hog wild with this shit, but I’m pretty reasonable lmfao.
